First up we’ve got… “Miss Zombie”
Miss Zombie exists in a world where zombies are real, created by a virus that puts them in a nebulous state between alive and dead. There are various stages to the disease, with some zombies being considered more human than others. Their progression is measured in their state of decay, and the consumption of meat turns them into feral creatures. The end result is a form of domestication, and when one (Komatsu Ayaka) shows up at the home of a doctor and his wife, it’s quickly put to work, repetitively scrubbing broken tiles outside his home.

Arnold Schwarzenegger doing a zombie film? You betcha. It’s called “Maggie” and he’s co-starring in the film with Abigail Breslin. He used his Twitter account to update fans from the set and included a pic.

Halloween has become big business for Universal Studios.
Seems fitting. After all, Universal is one of the only studios that has traditionally not only embraced horror films, but that continues to emphasize their long history of monsters as a major part of their legacy. It is a natural fit for them. Even so, when I was part of the Halloween Horror Nights back in 1992, it was still a fairly new idea, and it was charmingly hand-made. It felt like the sort of show you would put together in your own neighborhood with a bunch of friends. It was low-tech and fun, and it was small enough that at the end of the run, everyone who had appeared in it could gather in one of the CityWalk restaurants for a small awards ceremony and some great free food and drink.
